Can you remember a time when you felt loyalty towards your job? Or a person? Come on think for a minute.
Forbes Magazine recently wrote a story on “What makes employees loyal” and it had some interesting findings. Everything from:
-
Having a community at the office
-
A cushy parking space or office
-
A job that matches an individual’s personality, etc.
I do not know about you but these factors may keep me at a company a bit longer than normal but what really creates loyalty for me is working for:
-
A manager/leader I trust
-
A company whose product or service I believe in
-
A company culture of candor and collegiality
-
And almost as important as all of the above combined, if not more so: feeling that I am making a difference.
What about you?
