Citigroup cost cuts could be a blessing for Poland

My friend Woody left Citigroup about a month ago to head back to Poland with no job prospects. Now he is looking like a genius.

Many of you already know Citigroup announced today cuts of about 17,000 + workers world wide, a good portion from IT and back office.

An unlikely beneficiary could emerge in the form of Poland, which is seen as a top contender to attract back-office jobs from London.”

Market Watch has an interesting story about the possibility of many of these jobs moving to countries like Poland. To read more about the changes click here.
